Shannon Zobrist Bennett, MS, LPC, LCPC, has her Masters in Community Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Kansas. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Shannon provides talk therapy pulling from a combination of modalities, most specifically Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Solution Focused therapies. Shannon believes everyone inherently has the ability to heal and function in an optimal way whatever that may look like for each individual. Her therapeutic style works towards assisting each individual understand themselves in order to integrate all parts of self. Shannon also works as a crisis clinician with the SMI population at Research Psychiatric Center. Shannon is working towards her PhD in International Psychology, with a specialization in Organizations and Systems. Her dissertation work is exploring acculturative stress factors of Salvadoran immigrants living in the United States. She provides clinical supervision for counseling students and those working towards their independent counseling licenses. Aside from her professional passion and ability, Shannon adores her 9 yr old daughter, continues to work on her own health and growth, and plans to write children’s books in the future.
